The children will be making the most of the outdoor area when they return after the summer holidays thanks to a team from Amey who have been hard at work. Each year, employees of Amey are empowered to participate in charity and community projects. They are each provided with one paid day per year to support an initiative of their choice. The team chose to support us to further develop our outdoor area, painting a roadway, putting up signs, making a mud kitchen, refurbishing the farm area and making a tyre planting wall. The team were joined by Steve Birch and 2 operatives from Ridgewood Contracts Ltd. All the materials and tools were provided by Amey Highways. Special thanks to Richard Farmer and Andy Richardson and Richard Harris for their support. The signs were provided by Morelock Signs Ltd. Thanks to Guy Pryer who helped with the design. The road lining was done by H&G Ash roadmarkings Ltd.
We are so grateful for the work the team from Amey have done to further develop the outdoor area. Thank you to everyone involved, especially Niki Tsialkatoura, who coordinated the project! We are so pleased with the results. It looks amazing and we cannot wait to see the children enjoying using the areas in September.
